I need to know all about your paranormal experiences. Is the JYP building haunted? Fun story. Back when I was a trainee, I dated this cute trainee in JYP. He used to sneak me into the building all of the time. One night, when we were in the practice room, we legit heard an old woman laughing in the hall.

oh gosh, idk if i should be touching on the subject..ㅋㅋ but let’s just say some weird things happen around the main staircase and practice rooms. but i’ve heard my fair share of crying, laughing, people talking in the practice rooms ! but you didn’t hear from me 🤫

     it’s an unfortunate reality that idols–or really, anyone in the public eye–of opposite genders are not encouraged to interact out in the open, if not downright prohibited, lest rumors start spreading that “something” is going on. not to mention, it’s even hard for people who are genuinely just friends to interact without someone assuming they could be more, which is why haru has always made an effort to meet up with or talk to his friends who also happen to be girls in private, or somewhere he knows he won’t be caught - like backstage at a shared event or something where it was inevitable that they’d be near each other.

     that’s why when he decides to send nayoung a gift for her birthday coming up, his thought is no different. he still makes sure to wrap her gift (a white and purple cat plushie and another purple cat plushie because he was indecisive as hell between the two and wasn’t sure which she’d prefer more, okay!) nicely–albeit in giftwrap he found that makes the box look like a block of cheese but he thought she’d find it funny–before placing it in a regular packing box along with a birthday card so that at least this way, it’ll look unassuming to the outside eye.

     he even went through the effort of getting the nova dorm address from his manager after promising he wasn’t asking so he could visit himself; he was just going to send a package. it took a bit of convincing but he managed to get it somehow so he wasn’t going to waste this chance, even if truthfully, a part of him deep down was so nervous.

     it’s not that he doesn’t buy gifts for others, whether it be for their birthday or a holiday or even to treat someone because he’s apparently in a position where he can do that now, but something about doing this for nayoung felt different; more nerve-wracking, even. but since he’s already bought everything and it was all prepared, he had no reason to not send the package - so after hyping himself up a lot, he quickly sends it off without giving himself a second thought or chance to take it back.

whoever sends her a package that looks like a cheese block really has nayoung questioning what this is, but it’s…. it’s effective in getting her attention. hopefully it didn’t have cheese inside!? and since it is already the eve of her birthday, she has some time for herself as she digs into the package and unwraps it slowly, to unwrap it into… another box! “what could this be?”

there’s a card sitting right there, and while the temptation is there to dig into the box first, she really should read the letter first. and hopefully it’s a note that actually has writing it because… genuinely, nayoung doesn’t like it when a letter simply says, “dear ___, from ____”, something that bugged her mom that also passed down to nayoung herself. pleasantly surprised, the letter is not empty, and her mouth is pursed as she slowly reads it. 

oh drat, she should’ve opened the package first because it did mention what he got, but it’s okay, it was vague at best. plushies, huh! hopefully they weren’t something she didn’t like, but haru knew her well anyway so they likely would be alright… it’d be rude to ask for a return receipt but if she really didn’t like it, nayoung wouldn’t hesitate to tell him to exchange it so…. hopefully it wouldn’t get to that point.

setting the note aside, nayoung’s glad she’s opening this quietly on her own because she probably looks so silly right now, so excited like a little child but hey, it was only her birthday once a year, right?! and it makes a difference when it’s coming from someone that’s close to her. after opening the lid to the box, she buries her hands to her face, gasping at first then laughing, because one of them looked rather… odd, but cute ( impressionable. yes yes. ) and the other was very typically cute, both in shades of purple. she loves them. she’s going to stick them on her pillows. they even fit her decor. squishing them in her palm and against her face, she snaps a quick picture with the two and sends it off to haru.

Another huff escapes your lips as you stare at the empty table. This year Christamas feels so sad, seeing your house all empty and cold makes you squeeze yourself more in your jumper. You were supposed to spend this day with the rest of the boys, have fun like every other year and enjoy each other’s company, like everyone else. However, Corona Virus had different plans for the world, so you just ended up staying at home with your boyfriend. It’s weird to not be in each other’s presence at this time of the year, you miss the warm feeling of family, laughing until you cry - or until you pee yourself, it only happened once, you swear -.

The fact that your boyfriend is locked in your bedroom from at least thirty minutes makes you deprime even more as you blandly sweep the floor, you don’t need all this time alone right now. It’s just going to make you feel more sad, so you decide to go upstairs to see what he’s been up to. It’s weird for Hobi to be so silent, he usually likes to play music out loud when he’s at home and in your bedroom alone. The fact that he’s been so silent for thirty minutes and that he’s like this on Christmas Day makes you worry just a little bit as you knock at the door of your bedroom.

The snort that comes at the sound from inside makes you furrow your eyebrows.

«Hobi? ‘You okay?» you ask. You wait for him to answer, but silence is the only thing you receive, so you decide to swing the door open-

«Oh my God!»

You can’t believe what you’re looking at. Your boyfriend standing just a few feet away from you dressed head to toe as an elf, eyes already on you and trying to hold back a laughter. Useless to say, holding back a laughter for Hoseok is as impossible as for a human to fly, and when he bursts out you do the same. You hold your belly with your hands as he gets closer and closer, laughing for who the hell knows what. He’s not the type to feel uncomfortable dressed like this - even though it’s the first time he does something like this on Christmas -, and the look on his face as he laughs is one of those that doesn’t reveal any kind of informations.

«What-» you cut yourself off when he places his hands on your shoulders, shutting his mouth as a desperate attempt to stop laughing, face red and eyes glossy. He looks at you from up, guiding you fully into the room, every step seems to be insecure as his mind wanders who knows where.

«Sit here» he’s still chuckling as he lightly pushes you onto the bed making you sit on the edge of the mattress. You take in the full sight in front of you only now: green shirt with incredibly big red buttons, shorts as the same color of the buttons and a thick brown belt that looks like it’s made of plastic, the pointed elf shoes seem to be three times bigger than his feet and the hat on his head makes him look so cute that you’d die only to squeeze his cheeks.

Hobi wards off, stepping towards your nightstand in his big shoes until he reaches the Bluetooth speaker. He grabs his phone from the pocket of the shorts and a second later WAP is filling the air of your bedroom and make your hair stand on edge. He’s obsessed with this song, the way he would often try to rap naughty words in English always makes you laugh.

Hoseok turns around, slowly and desperately trying not to burst out in a laughter, it makes you giggle once again as he steps back to you.

«You said you were sad,» his voice is on the edge, it shakes as he tries not to laugh with you «so I thought...»

«Thought what?» you ask, finally gaining back your seriousness. His cheeks lift up, two beautiful dimples gracing his face as he thinks of what to say. The thought he did all of this just to make you smile already makes you happy, he wouldn’t need to do anything else. Seeing him being so cute in this elf custom already cured your quarantine depression and you’re sure will make you smile until the day you’re done breathing.

«Just watch, okay?»

And like that, he starts dancing. His body starts moving and you loose control of yourself, totally filled with laughter and joy as you watch him move his hips in a sexual manner. Long gone is the gloomy feeling of being in an empty house at Christmas, now the room feels way to small to contain you two as he desperately tries to maintain a stern expression, still swinging his hips and raising his brows quickly enough to make you laugh even louder. Hoseok gets closer and closer, the disguise he’s wearing makes it all even funnier, in fact if it wasn’t for it you would probably be staring at his muscles flex under the clothes.

«Hobi» you call out, holding your stomach in your hands still laughing like an idiot. Your boyfriend doesn’t answer, he just gets closer again as he keeps dancing, this time bringing his hands to the edge of the green shirt. Your mouth falls open as you watch him slowly - very slowly - lifting it up and revealing his abs, twitching as his hips keep moving. It’s a weird combo seeing him dress like this and moving so sensually, but you don’t complain.

«Are you stripping for me?» you giggle as he raises his shirt more and more, eyes focused on you and big smile on his face threatening to burst into a laughter.

«Isn’t it obvious?» he stops his movements, surrendering to the laughter that has been threatening him for all this time. The way his eyes crinkle and his white teeth show on full display lights up a new loving sentiment in your chest, the fondness you feel for him reaching its peak as you hear him laugh out loud, the best sound you’ve ever heard.

«I need to be serious» he mumbles between laughters, his tone screaming nothing but happiness. You shake your head as he starts dancing again, finally removing the green shirt with a quick and skilled movement that makes you both laugh and stare. His abs keep twitching as he swings his hips and you can feel his gaze on you as you raise yours, his dark amused eyes looking at you as he smiles widely.

«I’m happy,» you let out «I’m happy»

Hobi licks his lips, bringing his hands to the waste-bend of the shorts.

«Happy is not enough» he’s doing all he can not to burst out laughing again, his hands slowly pushing the shorts lower and lower until they reach his thighs and eventually fall to the ground.

«Oh God» you don’t know anymore what to do, and you can’t deny that your cheeks are starting to burn. His movements are so freaking sensual that you already feel you panties getting wet but the situation only makes you laugh.

«Please, just come here»

«I want to make you laugh more» he responds, his full cheeks reddening as he shakes his head to himself at what he’s doing. A second later his pointed shoes are long forgotten on the ground and when you get up from your spot on the bed Hobi feels the need to hug you tighter than ever.

«You always make me laugh»

You stop in front of him, WAP still playing in the background as your eyes meet him once again. Hoseok is hopeless, shameless when it comes to you, and the fact that he knows it only makes it more dangerous to him. He doesn’t care if the next time he will have to dress as a clown and strip to make you smile, he’d do it without even thinking about it twice.

«I just want to see you happy» he glares at you, fondness shining in his big sparkling eyes. And you can’t hold back anymore, immediately placing your lips on his, where they belong. Tongues searching each others and breaths soon becoming too short.

«You’re really obsessed with this song»

you murmur. Hobi’s laugh makes you laugh too, just like always. He’s your sun.

Soobin walked into the company’s building, earbuds plugged in as he greeted the few staff he saw with a simple bow of his head. He was tired and a little grumpy for the lack of sleep, so he avoided looking at people’s faces so as to not catch their attention. The music in his earbuds was loud, muting everything around him and providing him some peace. He walked without hesitation towards the dance practice room, hoping to get away from everyone.

The room was empty. He was probably the first of the trainees to arrive that day, and he preferred it that way. Soobin approached the lockers placed right by the entrance and put his backpack inside, only keeping his phone outside to play music while he did some stretching. He began with his head and went down slowly, making sure to stretch properly. He was standing in front of the mirror with his eyes closed, so he heard Yeonjun arrive more than saw him.

“Oh Soobin-ah, you arrived early!” Yeonjun exclaimed as he too put his stuff in his locker.

“Mhm,” Soobin hummed, turning his arms around, “I had some free time and decided to come here earlier.”

“Oh really?” When Yeonjun asked, Soobin felt his breath right on his face. 

He opened his eyes and took a couple of steps back, surprised. Yeonjun chuckled and moved away. Soobin frowned, a little annoyed at Yeonjun’s playfulness, but decided to let it go. He was too tired to get into an argument.

“You look exhausted, what were you doing before this?” Yeonjun asked again, back to the mirror. Soobin looked at his back before turning to look at his own reflection. He did look exhausted. But what had he been doing before coming to the practice room? He couldn’t remember.

“Well, I-” Soobin scrambled for a response, but in that moment Yeonjunt turned around and the words died in his lips as his heart stopped for a second.

Yeonjun’s face in the reflection was gone.

It was blurry, like it had been heavily edited. He could see it moved as Yeonjun told him something else, but Soobin wasn’t paying attention anymore. His eyes and mouth were black, outstretched cavities that seemed to be caught in the middle of a scream no matter what Yeongjun said. Soobin quickly turned around to look at Yeonjun’s face, but it looked normal as the eldest babbled away.

He turned around, intentionally avoiding Yeonjun’s reflection to look at his own, but his was normal. Soobin turned back to the reflection and swallowed a scream as Yeonjun’s reflection lost its form more and more. He turned back to Yeonjun, who was now facing the mirror, but he didn’t seem to realize what was going on. Finally he looked at his reflection again, and this time, it did look off.

It looked exactly like him, but it felt… off. Soobin approached it against his better judgement, lost in a sort of trance. He reached his hand up to the surface of the mirror, but when he touched it, all he felt was the warmth of human skin.

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

Soobin opened his eyes with a start. His room was still, interrupted only by the sound of the alarm. His heart was racing a mile per hour as he sat up and stared at his hand, which tingled from the warmth he had felt in his dream. Right, it was just a dream. He took a deep breath and turned the alarm off, trying to push all the memories of his dream to the back of his mind. He was stressed out as the debut date approached, so it made sense that he had a couple of nightmares here and there.

He found himself looking at his hand again and shuddered. It had felt so real, like human skin. Soobin had never experienced feeling something in his dreams before, but now the sensation wouldn’t disappear. He shook his head harshly and threw the thoughts away. He couldn’t freeze like that because of a stupid, albeit scary, nightmare. He had to get to the company and practice to perfection.

A shower and a bowl of rice later (he wasn’t very hungry), Soobin found himself walking to the subway. He paid his fare and walked into the train almost mindlessly, used to travelling that route every single day. He sat down on one of the empty seats and hugged his backpack close. The music helped him relax and he closed his eyes, but as soon as he did, he saw Yeonjun’s reflection staring back at him, all black holes and screaming smiles.

His phone vibrated and startled him awake. An older woman sitting next to him frowned with disapproval and Soobin was quick to apologize as he took his cell phone out and opened Kakao up. It was the group chat he had with the rest of his members. He opened the chat up and read the messages, feeling his chest getting heavy as he did.

YJ: i heard a very cool story from some seniors YJ: apparently there’s a ghost that lives in our new practice room

TH: That’s dumb and you know it…

HK: ahhh ㅠㅠ why would u say that? HK: that’s scary

BG: a ghost?

YJ: yeah YJ: heard it was like a past trainee or something? ㅋㅋ YJ: it likes to annoy current trainees YJ: and makes weird thing happen around the room

SB: That reminds me of a dream I had last night.

TH: Huh?

BG: ???

SB: Ah, nevermind. SB: I don’t remember it all that well. SB: Just said it because it happened in the practice room.

TH: Either way TH: Ghosts aren’t real TH: Stop scaring Kai

YJ: you’re no fun

Soobin put his phone away. It was a lie that he didn’t remember his dream. He remembered it so vividly that he could still feel a bit of tingling on his right hand, which had touched the ‘mirror’. However, he didn’t want to make a big deal out of it or scare Kai more. He was stressed and had probably heard the same story as Yeonjun from one of the seniors and just didn’t remember it.

He got off five stations later and walked a few streets over to the company. He greeted everyone and pushed the feeling of dejavu away as he made his way to the practice room. There was no one there, so he put his backpack in the locker and, instead of starting with the stretching, he walked over to the mirror and stood in front of it. Soobin examined his reflection carefully, taking note of every detail.

“It was just a dream.” He told himself.

His eyes fixed on the hand of his reflection, and the hole in his chest grew, something akin to fear spreading in him. Soobin raised his hand slowly. He knew it was just a dream, so there was no reason to be afraid; in fact, there was no reason to even check at all. But maybe, just maybe, if he touched the cold surface of the mirror it would help his mind settle and let him work in peace.

“Ohh Soobin-ah, you arrived early!” Yeonjun’s voice snapped him out of his trance and Soobin quickly put his hand down, swallowing a scream of surprise.

He quickly turned around, taking his earphones off and greeting Yeonjun with a nod of his head. Soobin didn’t think he could speak without his voice revealing how much Yeonjun had startled him, so he settled for not speaking at all. Yeonjun finished putting his things away and joined him in front of the mirror, offering to help with the stretches. Soobin accepted and they began to work on them.

Soobin didn’t realize how much he was avoiding looking at the mirror until he had to turn and his heart stuttered in his chest as he encountered Yeonjun’s reflection and the empty holes greeted him for a fraction of a second. Yeonjun looked entirely normal. And that wasn’t strange, because after, it had all just been a dream, and Soobin couldn’t understand why it was affecting him so much.

Kai, Beomgyu and Taehyun arrived shortly after, followed by their dance instructor. The training was hard and lasted for hours, and by the end of the day they were all sweaty and exhausted. Soobin approached the table where they had the sound equipment and went to grab his water bottle. His hand grabbed at air instead, because it wasn’t there.

“Huh?” He looked at the table and around it, but the bottle wasn’t there. “Has anyone seen my water bottle?” Soobin turned around and asked the rest.

Beomgyu was sitting with his back against the wall, and Taehyun was next to him. Yeonjun was stretching gently in front of them while Kai continued to practice one of the moves he couldn’t finish getting down. They all looked at him and Soobin felt oddly uncomfortable for a second. Kai turned around and pointed towards the mirror. Soobin swallowed. His bottle, a dark blue thermos, was resting next to the mirror, but he hadn’t put it there.

“By the way,” Yeonjun began as Soobin approached the mirror to pick his bottle. “I asked the staff if we could, and they give me permission, so I was thinking-”

“If we could what?” Taehyun asked. His tone gave it away that he didn’t like where it was going.

“If you could just let me finish, you’d know.” Yeonjun scoffed. “I was thinking, since our debut is just around the corner, we should do a bravery test, for bonding purposes.”

“You mean…?” Beomgyu asked, tilting his head.

“Staying the night here at the practice room,” Taehyun supplied, not even waiting for Yeonjun.

“No!” Kai immediately yelled. “Why would we purposefully pass the night with a ghost?”

“Ghosts aren’t real, Kai.” Taehyun chuckled. “But I still don’t want to spend the night here.”

“I think it would be fun.” Beomgyu said, standing up and wiping the back of his pants.”

“That’s two against two,” Yeonjun crossed his arms. “Soobin-ah, what do you think?”

Soobin had been staring at his thermos the whole time, not drinking from it. He was pretty certain he had left it at the table, so he couldn’t understand how it had made its way next to the mirror. Maybe the dance instructor or one of his members had moved it? Maybe he had actually put it there and had just forgotten? He wasn’t sure, but it creeped him out.

“Soobin-ah?” Yeonjun insisted, catching his attention.

“Ah- Yeah…” Soobin swallowed, looking up from his thermos. “Hm, I think it could be a good way to bond, yeah.”

Yeonjun clapped his hands together, content. Taehyun groaned in exasperation and patted Kai’s shoulder, whose face had gone a little bit pale. In the end, they agreed that they would go home to pick some stuff and meet back at the company to sleep at the practice room. To be fair, Soobin didn’t care much about bonding with the rest of the members -and he didn’t think Yeonjun cared much either- since they were already pretty close. But he wanted to get rid of his silly idea about the mirror, which had been bothering him the whole day since waking up.

He went home, took a shower, and grabbed a change of clothes to sleep and the sleeping bag he used when he went camping with his parents. Soobin let them know about the “bonding activity” they were doing, and his parents easily agreed to it, letting him go without asking many questions.

Soobin was the last one to arrive at the practice room. Everyone else had already settled down with blankets, pillows and sleeping bags. Beomgyu and Yeonjun had even bought snacks for everyone, and they were playing games. Soobin joined them with ease, his back facing the mirror as he tried to ignore it as much as possible. 

The hours went by quickly as they played games and chatted, until eventually they were all yawning and sleepy. Yeonjun gave them some time to arrange themselves before turning off the light and rushing to his own sleeping bag. Everyone knew he too was a bit scared and they let him know with a laugh. Soobin closed his eyes and fell asleep, comforted by the presence of his members.

Soobin opened his eyes and sat down. He looked around to find his members perfectly asleep, which was strange, because he had been certain that someone had asked for help. Maybe one of them talked in their sleep? That would be a problem once they moved in together. For now though, there was nothing he could do about it, so he turned around and put his head on the pillow. 

He couldn’t close his eyes, though, as he froze in place and his heartbeat picked up.

In front of him, in the mirror, he could see his reflection and standing and looking at him. It was perfectly still. Soobin immediately sat up and looked around, but the members were still peacefully asleep, and he felt bad about waking them up. So instead he stood up and approached the mirror. His reflection moved as well, following his steps like it was supposed to.

Soobin extended his hand and touched the mirror again, and by the time he realized the rest of his members weren’t even in the reflection, the hand had already wrapped around his hand and pulled him inside.

He woke up and immediately faced the mirror. His reflection was sitting just like him, and the bundles of the sleeping members were around him, like they were supposed to. A few minutes went by before Kai woke up, trying to rub the sleep off his eyes as he looked at him with curiosity.

“Hyung, are you okay?” Kai asked, his voice a rough whisper.

“Hyung?” He turned to look at Kai, a bit confused, but then nodded. “Ah yes, I am your hyung now, that’s true.” Kai gave him a weird look, but he just shrugged.

“Is everything okay?” Kai asked, a bit worried.

“Yeah, I was just thinking of a friend of mine, don’t worry Kai, just go to sleep.” He smiled, still looking at the mirror. Kai turned to go back to sleep, but he stopped.

Save me.

“Hyung, did you say something?” Kai asked, turning around again, a bit alarmed.

“Hm? No.” He shook his head. “Must be the practice room ghost.” Kai swallowed thickly and he laughed, patting Kai’s back. “I’m just kidding, just go back to sleep. Ghosts aren’t real.”

Kai returned to his bundle of covers and pillows and he turned to look back at the mirror, where Soobin was desperately hitting it, screaming for someone to save him.

At the end Jonghyun and Minho did reaaaaally random weird dance movement. Onew looked at them then waved like "I'm done" and grabbed Key's arm to go backstage ㅋㅋㅋ (Taemin kinda rush backstage)

When Taemin said 사랑해 Jonghyun made fun of him saying that his pronounciation was weird ㅋㅋㅋ Taemin was shocked at first but then realized that Jonghyun was just making fun of him so he said that it was because it was embarassing and then repeated 사랑해 ㅋㅋㅋ

They showed us all the games they did during 321 during the arena tour, the stadium was laughing because seriously it was soooo funny

Taemin kept throwing away his caps and put them on again. When the dancers did their intro Taemin's cap was on the floor. One dancer picked it up, put it on his head and ran to give it back to Taemin who laughed hard ㅋㅋㅋㅋ But then Taemin after keeping the cap for like… 10 seconds… threw it away again and picked it up a few songs later OTL

Taemin thew away his jacket when he was on the moving stage but threw it out of the stage and right in front of fans who picket it up, a staff ran there to get it and kept it tucked in her arms until SHINee got backstage ㅋㅋㅋㅋ

When they were on the carts going around the arena, Jonghyun and Minho were on the same one. Jonghyun tried to take a ball in his bags and a few ended on the floor of the cart and fell over. One of them bumped into Minho's feet who looked down and he hit lightly Jonghyun's shoulder to show him because he didn't realize then they both laughed at it so cutely ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
